Solar and Battery Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to solar PV and battery storage systems and should be read alongside our General Terms & Conditions. Where applicable, they are intended to comply with RECC Consumer Code requirements.
1. Cooling-Off Period
1.1 You are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from acceptance of the quotation.
1.2 If you request works to commence within this period, you may be liable for reasonable costs incurred if you later cancel.
2. System Performance
2.1 Any performance estimates (generation, savings, ROI) are indicative only and not guaranteed.
2.2 Actual performance may vary due to weather, shading, orientation, usage patterns, grid constraints, and equipment degradation.
3. Permissions and Approvals
3.1 Planning permission, landlord consent, or third-party approvals are the client’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.
3.2 We will submit MCS and DNO notifications where required, but approval times are outside our control.
4. Roof and Structural Assumptions
4.1 Quotations assume the roof structure is suitable for installation.
4.2 We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or failures in the roof structure.
4.3 Any remedial roofing works required are excluded unless specifically quoted.
5. Export and Grid Connection
5.1 Export capability is subject to DNO approval.
5.2 We cannot guarantee export permissions or acceptance onto export tariff schemes.
6. Battery Systems
6.1 Battery capacity, lifespan, and degradation are subject to manufacturer specifications.
6.2 We are not responsible for reduced capacity over time within manufacturer tolerance levels.
7. Monitoring and Software
7.1 Monitoring platforms and apps are provided by third parties.
7.2 We are not liable for outages, data inaccuracies, or discontinued software services.
8. Documentation and Handover
8.1 Upon completion and payment, you will receive:
Electrical certification
MCS certificate (if applicable)
System handover documentation
