EICR Terms and Conditions
These EICR Terms apply to inspection and testing services only and should be read alongside our General Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Inspection
1.1 An EICR is a non-invasive visual inspection and testing of accessible parts of the electrical installation in accordance with BS 7671.
1.2 We will not remove fixed building elements, floor coverings, fixtures, or furnishings unless expressly agreed in writing.
1.3 The inspection is limited to the circuits and equipment accessible at the time of testing.
2. Limitations
2.1 An EICR does not guarantee that the installation is free from defects or that it will remain safe after the date of inspection.
2.2 No liability is accepted for defects that were not reasonably detectable at the time of inspection.
2.3 Any concealed wiring, inaccessible areas, or client-restricted access are excluded from the report.
3. Classification Codes
3.1 Observations will be coded in accordance with BS 7671 (C1, C2, C3, FI).
3.2 A “Satisfactory” outcome does not imply the installation meets current standards in full—only that it is not considered unsafe at the time of inspection.
4. Remedial Works
4.1 Any remedial works identified are not included unless separately quoted.
4.2 We are under no obligation to undertake remedial works following an EICR.
5. Documentation
5.1 The EICR will be issued electronically upon completion and payment.
5.2 The report is prepared for the named client only and should not be relied upon by third parties without our written consent.
